    Default 2jz manual flywheel ring gear vs auto flexplate ring gear

    Hello

    Is anyone able to confirm or deny whether the ring gear on an auto 2jz (ge or gte) flex plate is the same unit as on the 2jzge manual flywheel? Are they compatible?

    Thanks
    ¿?

    as in a machined shoulder to suit mounting of the auto flex plate gear.... will this shoulder also suit a manual ring gear?

    Just make sure the auto driveplate welding process hasnt made the auto ring too big for the manual flywheel.

    Thanks for the responses, however they seem to be missing the point a little i think.
    Perhaps I can be a little more clear;

    ed_jza80 has a non standard flywheel, it was designed to have an auto ring gear mounted to it.

    I would like to buy this flywheel.

    I have a standard manual flywheel (apparently worn beyond repair by machining), I would like to use the ring gear from it on ed_jza80's flywheel.

    So I would like to know if a manual ring gear will fit the flywheel designed for the auto ring gear?

    thanks

    Guess you can't measure it because it's still in the car?

    No, I can't measure it because its still at the shop that I originally took it to for machining.
