ABS TRACTION CNTRL and ESC lights staying on

OK this may be relalated to Wild Supra's thread but I thought I would post another

Just recently the UZS131 Crown has had the Traction Control and ABS lights staying on the dash, as well as the on the TV screen I'm getting a big warning on the TV that says ESC.

It has happened to me a couple of time before and I have just turned the car off and it has all reset itself. I have just gone out and disconnected the battery, letting the car re set it self and I am still getting all three lights.

I looked at all the fuses and all I could see was a big 30amp fues straight on the main + battery terminal that read ABS and ESC. This seemed fine not damaged at all

Any ideas as to why this is happening would be good also what does ESC stand for???

ESC is asking you to enter a security code for the head unit.

wouldnt esc = electronic stability control?

not sure if these cars had it, but it would make sense as all three functions are controlled by the ABS system, so you have a problem relating to that, or a controller/wiring or a sensor.

I'm kind of lost as to why it would show up on the TV though and not have a light of it's own. Does that model Crown have ESC?

Stitty, my old mate the ESC is tied into the ABS system. Check the wiring on the LH front ABS sensor. Remember I once owned this UZS131.

MR22ZZ, the UZS131 has an ESC light in the instrument cluster, and as the TV is also used for engine and chassis diagnostics, the ESC will also appear on the screen.
