    Default big end bearing

    hi i need some advise i'm replacing piston rings and conrod bearings on my 7m and i was wondering if i should replace the main bearings to or just do the piston rings and conrod bearings

    All depends what it looks like when you get it down, most times the mains are ok but if the motor is sludgy then id sugest more than than just rings nad bearings.

    pop the mains, have a look at the crank and see what the finish is like ; get some plastigage and check your clearances while you're there. for the sake of a couple of bucks to get your crank linished and another set of bearings i'd do it.

    thanks i will look at them and the crank and do you know where i can get torque specs for the bottom end
