Ok, given the overwhelming response to this event, I thought I should just bump it up.
Winton is a great track. Come take a look. $15 to spectate.

so hen how was it?
It was good to get back on track. Damn hot, but a pretty good turnout of cars.
5 sprinklers (Clayto, Willy, Sideshow Craig, Alistair and me) and a manual 1JZ MX83 (had a good look, but never met the guy). I didn't get to spectate much, but Al in the red ZE AE86 was doing damn well.
The day was a bit slow and disorganised, but that's what you have to expect for a first event.
Strangest breakdown of the day went to Clayton, who had a petrol tank start to leak. From a crack in the top of the tank.
Hen
That really is a strange breakdown.
So not a bad event hey.
I am really think of giving drifting a go, but unsure where to start. I think I just wanna do something a bit different apart from continueing with my Curcuit racing.
Plus I think it would be some good experiance.
And fun of course.
Suggestions?
Give it a try. It is worth a day on track just to see what its all about, and have a bit of fun. If you are used to circuit racing, a drift day will be a walk in the park. Minimal scrutineering, few rules, no pressure.
Drop me a PM if you need any help or more details about how to get started.
