oops forgot to mention its for the rt142/ra65 etc. struts
now that i've got my rear spring/shock setup good (cut heavy duty falcons and monaro short strokes) its time to find a good front shock setup.
right now i've got commodore low king springs (with a coil cut off) combined with stock replacement rt142 gas riders. These shocks arent the best as they arent at all captive and are way too soft.
Does anybody have any suggestions as to what other shocks from larger cars will fit? and also give me a shorter stroke?

Sorry I can't be of help but cutting springs is generally frowned upon as its pretty dangerous and illegal, so you might not get much help on here or anywhere else you look. Unless its just in a beater or bush basher then its pretty much not a great idea.

Why do you want a shock from a larger car?
I hope those rear springs are captive at all times.

yes the rear springs were captive even when the car was running stock shock absorbers.
Shocks from a larger car would have a stiffer rebound etc. and therefore be suited to the springs i'm using. I know cut springs are bad but the only other option was spending more than a grand on custom coilovers.

ST205 fronts, shorter body and stroke + stiff as hell to put up with the massive front end weight of a GT4
