    Default 1G cooling system mods

Im nearly finished rebuilding my 1G and have been thinking about the engines cooling system. I dont think its necessary to have water flowing through the oil cooler/water heater under the oil filter or have coolant flowing through the ISVC or throttle body. I want to eliminate these lines just to tidy things up and make things less complicated. The Hoses are not looking the best either.

The water flows out of the block from a small nipple near the oil filter and finishes on one of the solid pipes heading back to the thermostat housing. Can I just plug this nipple up and therefore eliminate the oil cooler, iscv and throttle body lines?

I got rid of my iscv/throttle body and just ran a line from the oil cooler to the old inlet(back of the engine i think) and have been running that a bit with no issues.
i personally wouldnt block it up givin the things other people have said about coolant circulation issues with 1g',s though that was more about circulation in the head, so you may be ok.

as celica pain stated if you dont want water flowing thru certain items then just bypass them rather than blocking them off.

why dont you want the oil cooler/heater on the side of the block? oil likes to be around 80odd deg so using the engine coolant is the best way to try and "regulate" it aside from running a thermostat style oil cooler which can be expensive to set up "correctly"

If not running coolant through the intake, might a phenolic spacer to stop heat transfer from the heat to the intake be a good idea?
