it looks good....
would it have been possible to swap the handbrake assembly from side to side to make it easier?
assuming there was sufficient clearance from the calliper to the shock
OK, Well once I got my MS112 diff fitted and driving straight in my Sprinter I got around to connecting the handbrake cables.
It's quite painful getting the MS112 handbrakes to work, since the lever actuating the internal drums sits nicely behind the shocks.
I used ST141 (I think) disc handbrake cables and welded some mounts on the lower trailing arm/shock mounts on my diff. The cables then ran between the diff mount and the shock body (it's tight through there) and connect to the lever for the internal drums. I had to drill some new holes in the lever to mount to, and drill out the pin on the end of the handbrake cable and replace it with a bolt and some lock nuts.
Whilst it is no work of art the handbrake worked beautifully all day on their first day out.
And to hopefully clear up a few questions my dodgy descriptions have raised, here are some photos.
Yes, I lost one of the retaining clips, so that is a bent piece of bike spoke.

I need a working 4AGE bottom end. Pref smallport GZE, but all others considered. Also complete motors.
Drift Volvo. Was fun. 2JZ next time.

hello
When I finally get around to putting my disc brake rear end into the MX23, I'm coming to you to weld on the tabs!
Awesome work. Presuming the relocation of the hole in the lever was to address the lack of travel? I need to address this in my KE70, haven't started on it yet but noted on the Crown chassis the handbrake setup effectively has a higher ratio than the Corolla setup so at standard lever mount the cable won't pull far enough. Got any measurements of where you drilled? This guide will be very helpful, although as mine is leaf spring rear I think I have a bit more room to play with partticularly with the shocks.

In fact the relocation of the hole was mainly because that is the only spot where I could fit the cable through. Any further out the arm and the shock body is in the way.
It is just lucky that the leverage works out ok in the end.
GT - if you like that welding imagine how it could look if I wasn't doing it cramped, under the car with all sorts of things in the way.
I never thought of swapping brakes side to side... but come to think of it, the mounting holes aren't symetrical, so I don't think it'd work.

When I did this, I bodged up some nasty shit to make the handbrake sort of work. I never quite got around to getting some custom handbrake cables - but using ST141 cables is eminently more sensible (and cheap).
awesome, thanks so much dude! id rep u again if i could.
