check that the choke wire is not holding the throttle open![]()
I recently ran into a problem with my 4K motor. When I first got the car, and the manual choke was pulled all the way out, the revs would soar to warm the car up, the idle was nice and low.
Now when the manual choke is pulled all the way out, the revs sound 1/5 of when my motor was running health(ier), and the idle has risen a fair few revs.
What could be the problem? The car is using a lot more petrol than before, which makes me think that the choke wire could be stuck a little bit open? Dirty carby?
Please point me into the right direction!
Thanks!
