CCG to the Toyota Nationals - Easter 21-24 March 2008

Minor change of plans due to the heat mate. We will be meeting up at 7.30am on Friday 21 March and leaving at 8.00am from the truck stop on the Barton Highway just out of Hall, as per previous years.

Tips for those who have not previously attended are:
- DEFINITELY bring a CB (Channel 16) as are must for those cruising as we can all keep together and entertain those cruising alone in their ride.
- BYO grog with you for Friday/Friday night to Dubbo as the bottlos will be closed due to Easter Friday….VERY IMPORTANT!!!
- Bring hat, sunblock , sunnies , camera etc and even a chair for the lazy events etc.

Found my alcoholic GB - all sorted now. Contemplated making my own by distilling some goon but I don't have time.

Bought two fold up chairs as standing is for gawkers.

Car survived the trackday so I am just giving it a service at it should all be sweet.

7:30am. I'll be there............a few minutes late no doubt.

Does anyone know a place in Canberra that sell ginger beer flavoured beer by the case. A few breweries make it but it's hard to find.

Or you talk to a home brewer who has a couple (read 30 odd) long necks of alcoholic ginger beer. I'm sure the CCG has at least one brewer...namely me

Fkn old cars and not being able to get parts for them any more My plans for a lazy week of care free evenings with just a few minor tasks to perform on the rolla and just a wash of the car before we go have gone down the gurgler.

Brake master cylinder died last, better bloody find one by Thursday! Not looking good though after this mornings stop in at ACT Brakes.

EDIT: got one being overnighted in from Japan with a bottle of Naawwwwwwsss and a Spoon engine.

If not, ACT brake sleeving in Qbn will do it quick and cheap. They use a SS sleeve so ends up better than factory and will never have to worry about it again.

GT8 gets tuned tonight....drove it to work today and it's stupid....clutch is literally a switch requiring wheelspinning mayhem to get off the line every time I guess i expected as much but was hoping in vain for some level of streetability
