how could I fit a guage to the tank?

two 90 degree fittings welded onto the side of the tank?

foam inside will melt though wont it?

Nah, you have petrol resistant foam inside the tank. But youll still need a surge, in everything apart from drag racing or circle racing (i.e. left/right turns only).

I would go twin pumps, if only for the redundancy, because losing your only pump through the Esses means you get very shitty... ask me how i know

Gauge is exactly as described, think an external gauge on an oil catch can.

Use hard lines for the under body stuff, its harder to inspect, and the vibrations through the car can crack the inner rubber lining, and harmonic resonance properties will tell us that its more likely to happen over longer distances of pipe, especially secured pipes. Thats why its good to have hard lines for as much of the distance as possible.

make sure if it has foam that its removed b4 welding (most RCI tanks wont have it though)

Given that its from scratch you probably wont need to bend it very much. Dont bother following the existing line, just put it somewhere where it wont get hit by anything. Along the seams of chassis rails works pretty well.
