Default Replacing the Starter Motor's Battery Wire & fusable links?

    Hello All,

With the starter motor's battery wire, where shall I find a replacement wire for it? the current one I have is damaged and needs to be replaced. Currently the battery wire I have in my car is a bit short so I may as well extend it a bit so it doesn't stretch.

Also I wish to change my fusible links for the alternator to the battery as I believe the current fusible are also damaged (insulation). How shall I go about replacing these wires?

    Cheers.

Wire can be bought from jaycar, and some automotive stores. Jarcar will definately have it though. Jaycar will also sell the appropriate terminals.

Fusible links can be bought from repco, supercheap etc. If the fusible link holder is broken then your best bet would be a wrecker. As for wire jaycar is your best bet here also.

I'd get a new cable made up at an autoelectrical supply store, they've got the right gear and can crimp the terminals properly for you.

It's very difficult to crimp the terminals required for the starter feed with normal tools.
