Definately something different! What gearbox are you using behind it?
Any reason you didnt opt for a 4agte?
Cheers
Phil

yeh im using the w58 with a bellhousing imported from the u.s
used coilover suspension from a vr4 galant
still working with the brakes and diff (any suggestions?)
the conversion is very differant plus my brother knows these engines back to front,
so i have no real probs with tech.. the conversion is pretty much straight forward
thats mostly the reason i didnt go the 4a.
plus its very well known that the evo engine are pretty much one of the top ranked to work with..
( in no means am i starting a motor war here..hahah)
and the power i can get out of one of these is unlimited
but yeh differance is mainly the big reason. the car in itself is differant being convertible,
differance is my aim
thanks for the interest

what have you done to the chassis to make it stronger? I ask because you don't have long before it starts to fold up.
Karey
looks ok to me, you could of used a starion bottom end and gearbox but that means the engine would of had to come apart. I say stuff the purists, from what I hear atleast the block wont try and break inhalf after a certain power level unlike a 3sgte and it shits all over a SR20 in every way if you ask me.
looking good mate,
ive seen an old chrysler lancer with one of these babies!. went like the clappers too![]()
Wow! Whats involved in getting them to run Nth-Sth?
Great conversion and lets face it,when it comes to doing engine conversions we dont have much to choose form that hasnt already been done to death.
Top work,

Verrry nice, and excellent choice of motor. Is that an n/a motor though ?(grey valve cover instead of the red turbo one) Should haul with a TD06 or bigger.
TURBO RG - the chassis was extenxively reinforced previosly to having it engineered.. yep shes engineered.. hows your car coming along by the way?
SAM Q - yeh im very hesitant to use starion parts or matter of fact any mitsubishi boxes..
i have complete trust in a w58 its was the best option
IN05NT - i love your plates
RICEBURNAGTV - theres alot of details in the conversion that i will soon start posting.. not bothered for it today but if you are interestede pm me and ill explain
JIMMMAYYY - the engine that is being built for it is a red top with an evo3 head and stroker kit to 2.3L currently being built outside of the car. the engine in the pics is a gsr galant 2.0L but ive put on the manifolds of the turbo, since i have practically unlimited supplies of these style engines ( both turbo and non) im using this as a dummy as they share the complete same dimensions for block and head.
if anybody wants any info i have it all in my head.. unfortunately my fingers do not keep up after work
CHEERS FOR THE INTEREST BOYS

screw purists.... for 2L FI fun it's hard to beat the evo engines, but I agree with you on gearboxes... toyota build them to never break(same as diffs, actually)
2 requests:
1) more pix
2) a thread in members ride with a smallish build-up guide, so we can better appreciate it![]()
to be honest im having diff troubles.. i want something fairly easy to suit my celica that will handle atleast 350 - 400 kw
and its obvios i need to do something with my brakes
is there any ideas.. i dont want to go through TOO much hassle installing and i prefer to use a toyota item

F series w/ new centre (tru-trac?) should be able to cop that
Norbie's one is coping with a 2jz-gte![]()
with pics iom actually in body stages so everything is out again. unless you want the same old pics of an empty shell like everbody's build up no worries.. give me two weeks hopefully as im reinstalling the engine i will take pics as i go.. currently am looking for someone that can fabricat or extend the top thermostat housin to make it easier for the piping to go to radiator. ill will do a full build up within the comin 2 -3 days just so ppl can get an idea of what ive had to go through.. haha
cheers
