T50 gearbox problems

just fitted new (second hand) gearbox and the output shaft is unable to be turned when the box is in neutral, it came in gear but i shifted it out into neuteal and now i cannot select any gears or run engine with clutch out
help would be appreciated

Some times when the gearbox is out of the car and stood up on the bell housing if it gets a bump one of the selectors can drop into gear leaving the stick in neutral position, so then you have 2 gears selected at the same time locking up the box.

What you need to do is remove the extetion housing and put the 3 selector shafts in neutral and put it back together.

Yep I had this happen with a W50, it's frustrating but not too hard to fix.

I just did a manual conversion from the autoglide to a T50 in my '22, and the speedo cable fitting is different so I can't plug it back in - I don't remember reading anyone else having this problem... am I a moron?

Yep they are different
just get a manuel speedo cable and all should be good.
