Vicdrift extraordinary AGM - Tues Feb 26th. That means TONIGHT

Vicdrift will be holding an extraordinary AGM on Tuesday February 26th. Several positions have become vacant on the board and new board members will need to be voted in.

The meeting will be held at The Terminus hotel in Abbotsford (be careful, there are a few Terminuses around Melbourne). It's at 605 Victoria st and is almost opposite Victoria Gardens. Plenty of well lit parking is available under Victoria gardens if you so desire. Meeting kicks off at 7 out the back. Head past the bar, through the outdoor section and up the stairs to the deck. They do good pub food and, suprisingly, beer.

Please come along and stand for a position or vote (both of which require club membership) or just voice your opinion. We need people on the board who have motivation and can make the time to help run the club.

The board positions up for election are:

Vice president - Assists the president in their responsibility for the entire operation of the club including overseeing the other board members work, promoting drift in Victoria and planning for the future of the club.

Secretary - Maintains club non-financial paperwork (entry forms, minutes, etc). Is the publicised first point of contact for the board (holds club mobile).

Event manager - Responsible for organising non-promotional club events. Including both track days and other (eg social) events. Role covers conception of events, planning and organisation.

2 x Marketing managers - Responsible for promoting the club. Plan advertising and publicity for all club events. Actively recruit members and sponsors and organise promotional events for the club (eg, displays at Autosalon, Formula 1).

Nominations will be taken on the night and any contested positions voted upon.
