Default 2 F series diff questions.

hey all. i have tried searching for these but have not had much luck.
i have a mark 2 corona F series diff (live axle) with a 4.3 centre and a trd 2 way LSD.

1st question. i have purchised a 4.1 centre from the wreckers, thay assured me that the diff was a 4.1 out of a tarago. but after checking all the taragos axle codes in the yard i did not see one.
my question is how similar do F series centres and E series centres look.
i have measured both crownwheels and they seem to be similar. and both centres are 27 spline (also checked axle in centres)
does this mean my 4.1 is definetly F series?

2nd question. i want to convert the drums off the mark 2 diff to discs.
is there any bolt on upgrades redily available.
handbrake cables are not necessary as i have a hydrolic handbrake.

if these questions have been answered and i have missed them a link would be great. thanks.

1 - You definitely have an F series if the axle fits. F series axles are considerably bigger than E, plus have 27 spline as opposed to 23.

2 - If your diff is an MX13 diff (not sure on code for Mark 2) then the *T14* Corona rear disc brakes will fit. Twentyeight has done exactly that, so he may be able to shed more light on any related issues.

I need a working 4AGE bottom end. Pref smallport GZE, but all others considered. Also complete motors.
Drift Volvo. Was fun. 2JZ next time.

    Yep, I concur with Hen.

Does anyone else see the humour in "Hen" answering a question by "steroidchickens"?!?
