Steering rack at least is on wrong angle (tilted back more on M version), may be other issues as well.

As per post, I'm just wondering.... the main difference is the length of the nose otherwise celicas, aren't that different to supras. So it may sit a bit further forward then what you'd like, but would it an SA63 cross member fit?
Just a stroke of genius in possibly fitting a 3S into a Soarer...

Won't fit. The front end is actually quite different in the Celicas, it's not just sheetmetal differences.

cut the engine mounts off the soarers xmember and like wise on the sa63's and swap it over... then jsut use the 3s engine mounts. the steering rack is also on the other side of the xmember compaired to the soarer.
also i have a spare mz10 xmember if your keen to do so.
hope you like having 6" of firewall clearance unless you go dry sump.
the severe lack of low end torque with a 3s will leave you asking why you bothered.
trust me when i say a 1j or similar will be cheaper and leave a bigger grin on your face once the conversion is done.
cheers

ill have a guess and say the centre of the engine will be sitting directly over the xmember.
sumping will be a bitch
even if the xmember fits, it will probably be in line with the crank pulley.
im going through the same issues with a 3RZ, and its longer.
for ease and cost, go with a JZ. ive done a 2JZZ12 now and wilbo is halfway through his 2JZZ12 swap. plenty of info and guides around now
