Default 7mgte injectors into 3tgteu - Pintle caps?

Just a quick question, The 7MGTE pintle caps are a lot shorter than the plastic style on the 3tgteu. Should the pintle caps be changed over when changing injectors?

Also if they should be changed, how do you get the 7mgte ones off?? being the metal style it seems to be a real prick.

    Thanks

    Roger

i dont know that you can change the pintle caps from twin spray to single spray on the 7MGTE injectors... they have a different sort of nozzle arrangement from memory.

Also, you dont want twinspray with a 3TGTE - all your fuel will be washed up on the port walls instead of shot into the combustion chamber. Get yourself some 1st Gen "DSM" injectors from the good old USA-EBay Motors. They should be the blue top kind... they are single spray, low impedance, and about 440cc/min flow.
    ...... butt scratcher?!
