for 30mm lowering, maybe the roll centre ends up in a better place than before?
Hi,
I've been reading about suspension geometry and roll center etc. with regard to Roll Center Adjusters. Is it correct to say that the general rule for calculating the size of RCA require is whatever mm you lowered you car = size of RCA??
What would happen if you fit RCA that is slightly bigger? ie if you lowered your car 30mm but you put a 40mm RCA? would it have negative impact on the car handling or would the different be too small to make much different?
Thanks

The effect would depend on the suspension geometry. If you lowered 30mm and got a 40mm RCA. But..
More than likely the lower control arm has some sort of downward angle to it, or if not then very close to level. Larger RCA than required will reduce your camber, but increase camber gain. It will also raise the roll center of the vehicle, which is usually not desirable. You noticing it or not is really a matter of how sensitive you are, and how hard you are pushing your car. I'm sure an experienced driver could tell if it was changed even the slightest.

i wouldnt bother with RCAs for dropping a car 30mm, i lowered the front of mine about 2.5 inches and i think i liked it more before i put RCAs in! this is probably more due to the alignment before and after i put them in, might have fluked it then buggered it after i put in the adjusters.
