Me too, they've been predicting rain now - that could make things "interesting". But I'd prefer it dry to concentrate on my lines, etc. without also having to worry about being more slippery.

Wet weather is a good way to learn how to be smooth with your inputs and with the lower speeds the competition will be evened out nicely.

Yeah I was more worried about the afternoon session having a dry run. I should have read Genes post thoroughly and not been distracted by a list of shiney cars. If it is wet it'll be interesting to see what happens. Probably just be a 4WD free for all followed by a closely bunched RWD/FWD mob.

That said, I have never had a wet comp before *touches wood*

If the same evo mob is there that run at AHG sprints I think you will stand a chance of beating them.

I spectated at one that didnt stop raining the whole morning so there was standing water and it was cold but the evo guys still ran on their semi-slicks and spent most of the time going backwards. One even managed to clatter in to the armco in front of the spectator area!

Looking at the weather report, it looks like it should be fine, with a chance of a thunderstorm later in the day. Who knows, might get both dry and wet runs during the day :-)

It was hot and dry all day while competing. Ran pretty well, with times slowly getting quicker from 56 down to 54.33 seconds.

I've put some photos on my album that I took, although plenty more should be on the official photographers site soon too

glad i went down, looks like a realy enjoyable event with the emphasis on fun. was good watching some of the cars start all over the place then get there heads screwed on and keep it straight. like that silver torrie and the jag.
