Default 1g head work in Adelaide

I fear I may have blown the head gasket on my 1g, I have no probs getting hold of gasket kits but would like to know of anyone in Adelaide that does good work with 1g's obviously in the head area. I would like to do it myself but don't have the time and necessary experience! Recommendations?

do the basic checks to make sure it's the head gasket eg. compression test

Well the coolant looks like muddy water and it was changed just over a month ago, and the engine often hesitates quite alot between 2000 - 4000rpm, although the oil appears uncontaminated. Reading through all the 1g threads it certainly has the symptoms of a BHG and I suspect the car was sitting around for a fair while before I bought it, but I would also like to get the head machined and everything cleaned while its off

Head work, dont look past Knight Engines.
If its just a BHG then anywhere reputable.

I used a place on Port rd in Beverly.. Adelaide cylinder heads. They claim to do the best head jobs in town so i thought, 'why not?' No head job, but they cleaned up my 7M head nicely, quickly, and cheaply enough.
