Default HELP QUICK!!! 3SGTE Headgasket - O Rings?!

    Hey all

    Need an urgent answer lol

3sgte, fitting the head gasket up at this moment, when the original one came off there were O rings on the oil and water galleries down the inlet side of the motor, ie between head and block. I am fitting a multi layered steel gasket, no where in the owners manual for the 3s or on the ACL packaging (where fitment instructions are) does it state whether or not these O rings (assuming Viton rubber rings) are needed or not? Does anyone know? Cheers

is the block o-ringed ?, if it is the rubber o-rings may have been used with a copper h/g .
maybe the rubber o-rings were apart of the old headgasket (if it was toyota) and they stuck to the block when you removed it, try find an toyota h/g and see if it has orings in the gasket.

and if the block is o-ringed i wouldnt use a mls head gasket.
i dont have a funny or cool signature.
