Default ae92 proportioning valve and master cylinder

    folks

i think i know the answer to this but i'm going to ask.
do the ae92 and 93 sx series hatches with 4 wheel disks have different master cylinders?

also i think the proportioning is done in the master not by an external valve.

reason for asking is i swapped the front rotors and calipers in my ae92 csx with rear drums to ae92 sx series 1 vented rotors and bigger calipers and have a really average pedal after the fact.

i've bled em up (once) and will do it again tommorrow to see if it helps, but, i'm guessing i need a different master....

    I don't think so.

    I think that's a bad guess.

Air and/poor install and/or misalignment - pad taper.

    mmm.
i can't find the proportioning valve thats all. hence my reason for that comment. i'll look a bit harder.

    What does that mean?
my pedal has alot more travel and is not firm as it was before.
i suspect there is still air in the system but i did bleed it for quite some time to make sure it had all gone. i will try again.

    I think that's a bad guess.
    i don't reckon so.
cars with 4 wheel disks and disk/drum combos commonly have different master cylinder setups.

i think there still air in there. poor install, i'd like to agree, but, this isn't the first time i've done brakes.

    thanks for your input

washer between the brake hose and the caliper is shot. fluid is leaking from there.
reckon you can get a copper washer or a brake banjo bolt from anywhere down here - no chance.

Yeah you gotta really hold onto those things, very hard to find I've found too.

    two problems
    lack of a washer
bleed nipple weeping on one caliper

now all bled up and good to go. even got to spend time on the ta22

so yeah, as much as i hate to admit it, install failure.
