Default ST162 Super Lows VS ST184/ST185 Super lows??

Well Ive been in contact with king springs to find out why they don't list a super low spring for the rear of a st185/ST184 Toyota celica.

The stock and king low springs for the st162 and st184/st185 celica are identical which would technically mean that the st162 super lows which are listed should be adequate for the job.

I was told that the st162 super lows would not be suitable for the st184 due to the fact that the spring rate is less (about 125lb compared to 150 for the king spring lows)

They reckon the spring would have no travel at all once they were installed on the car.

My car is sitting a tad bit high at the back as I have king spring super lows at the front but could not find king spring super lows for the back.

Why is it then if its due to safety that they list a ST162 ULTRA low spring yet nothing for a st184/st185?

Yes i am confused also as to why they have ultra lows for the 162 but not the newer models.
However the part numbers for the st162 are the same as the ae82 TWINCAM corolla with the 4age in it.
It took me a few goes to understand it but the reason they have ultra lows for the st162 is that they only make superlows for the ae82
Which means that standard height kings for the ae82 are lowered st162 springs and so on from there.

    Is this you Adrian?

Possibly the 18x is a heavier car and thus King etc don't recommend running the 16X superlow on them, but the lows etc are rated high enough?
