Ok i have been offered an 89 (i think) MA70 non turbo thats got a bhg and is siezed for $700.
now should i
A. Replace engine with same
B. Replace with 7MT
C. Replace with a 1jztt

the car isnt going to be kept. just a little thing to see if i can make a buck out of it.

Not many people make $$ on something like that.... That vintage Supra isn't the most valuable... selling it may not be as easy as you think...

Doing the above will be quickest and easiest way to make a buck, but leave head room for things to go wrong, and dont expect to become rich from this, as most the time, ppl dont wanna pay what you want and you'll find you sell it for alot less than you were hoping for...

You should be able to get a 7m and HG for well cheap if you look around on toymods. But my bet would be, as you go along, you'll see things that need doing and the money will build up.

i dunno if the body/interior isnt too bad id be worth dropping a 1jz in and i reckon u'd be able to make a buck.

Not a whole lot that goes wrong with the a70's unless thoroughly mistreated.

You would most likely make 3 times as much as you payed for it by parting it out.

1JZ-GTE swap is about the same amount of effort as a 7M-GTE swap, provided you get a JZA70 front cut.

a mate of mine 77gze, mostly completed a 1jz conversion in a ma70, with a half cut a few carton of piss and a few mates in just over a weekend. did all the fiddly stuff in the evening after he finished work. was test driving it the thursday night, replace the 3 puk bullshit clutch and pressure plate friday night,

was at the pits getting it licenced i think the end of the next week, purely cause he couldnt get time off work to take it over.

he gave it a spray job, (in his back yard but was pretty dam good considering) and when he was ready to sell it made some good money.

and boy did it go hard.
