They look similar to that of a340's and r154's. Not sure if the a340 one is a direct replacement but i am led to believe that the r154 one has a different angle where it mounts onto the box, im not 100% on this so it may be worth a look.
my w58 dident come with a gear box mount when i bought it, i was wondering if anybody new off hand if they were available new from toyota or if they were common to any other gearbox
other than a w55, 57, 58?
cheers,
craig.

Yes, all Toyota auto's and manuals are very very similar in shape and design.
(I'm talking 6 and 8cyl stuff here, not sure if the 4cyl boxes are the same).
But any W gearbox, any A autobox, all the same bolt patterns.

I got my W58 gearbox mount from the local parts shop (Autopro) they had a catalogue of mounts and I just grabbed one listed for the W5x equipped 2WD Hilux. Was about $40 - $50 if I recall.

I have to disagree there.Originally Posted by CrUZida

A650 gearbox, with IS200 A34DE mount, on IS200 alloy crossmember.
The manuals - some have a 4 bolt V-shaped, some have 6 bolt V-shaped (mount only uses 4 of the 6).
Later W58 (JZA80) appears to have an identical mount to the R154 - 6 bolt V - whereas other W5* have the 4 bolt only (below).
Early 4 bolt V mounting.
Later (JZA80) 6 bolt V mounting. Note the extra boss on the extension housing for the remote shifter assembly.
JZA80 gearbox mount - 6 bolt pattern, 4 bolts used. Adaptor showing bolt patterns.
And then there are at least two crossmember patterns - the alloy crossmember patterns seem to be interchangeable regardless of what type of extension housing pattern you use (V or flat). The JZA80 W58 mount dropped straight into the IS200 alloy crossmember.
The steel crossmember (MX83, A340E) pattern is different to the alloy.
Sorry, don't have a complete set of photos for everything, but they're certainly not all the same. And there may be more variations and combinations.

Yeah I seem to recall my V160 wouldn't bolt up to an MA61 gearbox mount, which is why I had to play silly buggers with a JZA80 crossmember. My old JZA80 W58 bolted up OK though?

If you want just the rubber mount.
I got a look at the book and picked out the RA65 celica mount.
To get the metal part(crossmember) ebay sometimes or some steel and a welder.
This is a ra65 mount.

Yeah i just went and bought a Kelpro brand RA65 gearbox mount.... it matched perfectly with the gearbox and even the standard RA28 gearbox crossmember.
Mine is the same as Cuzzo's mount.
...... butt scratcher?!
who big response! just got back from a 14hour stint in the garage, cheers for all the answers guys. i ended up grabbing a mount and cross member from a mx83 auto. turns out the crossmember was not a bad fit for the sprinter, just lopped the ends off with the drop saw and tigged some new ones on with a bit of an offset and the bolt pattern to suit the sprinter.
so i can confirm early mx83 mounts definantly fit an alloy case w58.
yup, cuzzo's mount is the same as mine on my w57 in my ta22.

Im pretty sure my r154 mount bolted upto my w58 xmember. But i dunno if the r154 mount will bost upto the w58 gearbox is all. Never tested, they just looked identical side by side...
Cheers,
