I wasn't aware that Speedflow made their own pushlock hose? How come the major resellers only seem to have Gates or Aeroquip?

they stock all the hose they use with their products. I know they dont make any of there hose. but they stock it.
they also now have a hose system that uses heat proof oil resistant electrical condute style hose. Im not sure if this is available to the public yet, tho we trialled it for them atleast 1 year ago. This replaces the braided lines that spikes you a thousand times!

meridian motorsport in vic is where i last bought mine from.
no, they dont make it lol..... they buy it and re-sell it. I been to there factory. They do not have hose making machines.....
While it's rated the same, they won't warrant it with other makes of fittings. Like swagelok and other stainless steel tube fittings. Completely dimensionally the same, covered by lloyds, DNV etc for international insurances but not warranted or listed as compatable with each other. But they do work.Originally Posted by 1JZ-Rolla

Speedflow 400 series is the bomb,
I normaly put the fitting in a vice with rubber soft jaws, very vyer lightly lube it with some clean engine oil and push it on, dont forget the collar and make sure you cut the hose the right length.
Always start with the longest hose and finish with the shortest becasue unlike other styles of hosing its impossible to shorten it small amounts you lose a minimum of about 40mm,
If you bugger a long one you cna still use that hose to make a shorter one, hence always start with the longest hose.
Would also like to add that i have had very few issues pushing it on, i find i just put it in a vice and lean steadily on it,
I have seen more issues arrise from 100 series if not dones with the proper (and expensive) tools
I stay clear of stainless braided hose for anything other than brakes/clutches
Its to heavy and can cause issues (both with itself and the other surface) if it rubs on somthing,
We use the carbon/kevlar braided stuff if we want to be super super safe or show off some horn hosework,
But the 400 series will do all your oil and fuel lines
only things i wouldnt use it for is in some big pumping dry sump setups or power steering where you can get massive pressure spikes
Stops rubbing and clamps in place. Less than 20gm for 16mm twin.
Want heavy yet wear proof, try 12 wire hydraulic hose.
This in hindsight would be my choice for brake/clutch (mental not talk to ed). 630 BAR rated, kevlar lined, stainless crimped fittings. 2 or 4mm ID

Id stick with the same manufacturer for that pushon stuff, it works well but just a few thousandths ID difference will not help the 'Chinese finger/hand cuff' way they hold together, and is probably 1JZ-Rolla's problem.
Also, I think bending it right next the fitting, bigger then the min. radius or not, won't let it grip all the way around equally.
