    Hi,

Well, I had a great day overall. Jap metal was a bit down on previous years, but there was still some interesting cars. For example I loved that Datsun 510 (1600) two door sedan ex california and LHD! I didn't see that white RT104 Corona, where was THAT hidden!?!

I met slim and a few others from the forum, but sorry I can't remember all your names. So many people wanted to talk about the RT112. I was thrilled at the response.

Some of you noticed the huge coolant stain under the bonnet. Well, the reason for that became apparent when I added 3 litres of water before I left, then added another three litres on the way home. All the coolant was forcing out the lid of the overflow bottle and I had white smoke. Nice bubbles in the coolant - BHG! It was pinging a bit on the way up, but never went any higher than 3/4 on gauge. With three litres of coolant missing it was only reading 1/4 on the gauge.

Now I have to choose whether to pull the head off and fix it. Or just throw in the 18RGU from the RT104 lying in my backyard. Just when I got the A/C working too!

    what a great day
there was a record number of entrants this year the estimations were close to 3000 classic/ vintage /veteran/new /old and of course a record number from the classic celica club of victoria around the twenty mark i think , there were a couple of very fine examples of celicas there , one in particular was warwicks yellow celica, he has had from new
i only took a few photos as i was to busy looking at the cars and other sights

    this was interesting
    a V8 motor bike

a lexus quad cam in an mx5 built by bullit cars

    i met some new friends

    and warwicks mint celica

    overall a great day

Weather turned out perfectly too! I promise I will bring my car to the next one guys.
Well done to the guys who helped out, that was a real team effort - EXTREME!!!

My car got home in one piece - unfortunately a certain person believes I don't deserve to have a nice looking Celica and proceeded to kick my rear quarter panel in 12 minutes after arriving home, ruining what was a beautiful day. I'll post some pics up shortly. Short of thinking about killing him i'll probably drag the piece of shit through the courts for some fun..

Oh man... WTF! Why would someone do that? Was it just some random attack on the street or did you know the person?

I'm pretty tired today.... it's a long drive for that little car of mine. Was a great day out though.

God damn... that's fucked up! I hope he has money... or something you can force him to sell to pay for the damage.

I don't think he works, the car in the background of the first photo is his I think though.

I haven't spoken to him for like 4 years albeit while living in the same house, so i'm not sure if he actually "owns" anything. Nevermind, we'll see what happens.

Anyone know the contact of a prestige panel shop where I can a quote for the damage? Of course, I want it repaired properly!

Hey Ian, did your wife let you bring your new friends home to play with??

Sorry l didn't get there, but that V8 bike was there last year and it sounded mean.

Did anyone see a V8 series1 green Jag, sit very low?

Thats farked man! the guys that repaired my celica when i had my bingle were really good, they work with hotrods and alot of old muscle cars, they're called "Stylerod panels" and theyre located in croyden, you should look them up and give them a ring, they do great work.
