k&n onto 40mm solex in ra23

Has anyone got part number or dimensions of k&n filters fitted to 40 mm solex in ra23 which clear brake booster/mc, thanks

take some measurements and see what you come up with. i run the 3-1/4" IDF's on my gemini and they clear.

Usually you can get lucky. Look on the K&N website and see what they have. It sucks they don't have a product catalogue on there website so you can browse through.

ummm i rang up peps, and explained to them what i wanted, when in and circled the design i wanted 2 working days later they had my filters ready for pick up

The K&N part no you are after is: 56-1310. These are the ones i am running on my 18RG in my RA28 and clear brake master, no worries

Thanks mate i should have mentioned i want to keep the tubes ( about 45mm) so am going to need more depth on filter, trying to find something with minimal distance lengthways from the mounting point towards firewall if you know what i mean.

Keeping the Ram tubes AND fitting a K&N filter will be quite difficult.

There isnt much clearance with the 56-1310 filters which are the shorter type of air filters.... the larger filters designed to take velocity stacks inside will simply not fit, unless you move your brake master cylinder.

Have foam socks over ram tubes at the moment on the rally car, have been told these are risky running through watersplash as they can draw water in leading to detonation.Can only guess that moving booster would not be easy and probably not allowed.
