Some info there on the E58 and mods.
I have been fixing heaps of E code gearboxes at work and have decided to document what I'm finding: ratios, internal changes, external ID etc etc.
Does anyone have any original Toyota sales or technical brochures giving the ratios and gearbox codes???. post the info here if you feel like typing, or you can scan and email if thats easier.
I've got several of the "new model technical information" books published by Toyota from the mid 90's onwards, but I dont have anything on the Corolla range, AE82 twincam to AE101

"Welcome the dude who ain't the buyer of mugs"
thanks, there is no authentication of that data and no reference to exact model the info relates to. I'm really chasing confirmed factory data, or folk like me that have the boxes apaprt and can count teeth.
I have nothing to add, except to say I have rebuilt AE95 and RAV4 gearboxs which are both E series also.
In building up your own data base, you would only have to pull a couple of boxes apart to count the teeth. Then you could spend some hours with the Toyota EPC matching gears and part numbers, so you could then see what ratios other cars have, without having to physicaly see them.
