7MGTE - Major Gasket Trouble Eventually ?
There's also
- TCCS = Toyota Computer Control System
- Numbering stickers they used on rocker covers to indicate gearbox and engine type "4A M/T = 4A engine, manual transmission"
- SR = Super Responsive (I don't know what actual part of the engine made it so, 4A-C engine got this badge as well as 4A-F* engines but the 4A-GE didn't)
- SST = Special Service Tool
[EDIT: Should have read Cuts' post closer - doh!]

FIPG: Formed in Place Gasket
AAP: Auxiliary Acceleration Pump
CB: Choke Breaker
DP: Dash Pot
ESA: Electronic Spark Advance
HAI: Hot Air Intake (its in the toyota repair manual WTF)
HIC: Hot Idle Compensation
IIA: Integrated Ignition Assembly
TVSV: Thermostatic Vacuum Switching Valve (i think its for EGR systems)

The abbreviation thing has been done already.
One thing that is important is getting the case (big/small letters) of units correct, as already mentioned by Slim.
If you are measuring the resistance of a motor winding coil there is a hell of a difference between a mohm and a Mohm.
(milliohm and megaohm)
It is unfortunate that we can't have both lists rolled up into one (with corrections eg. kW).
