Default 1zz coil on plug pin allocation

Required urgently. In the process of wiring up the wolf and I don't know what pins are what. Any known information is very much appreciated. They have four pins and a *built in ignitor(*apparently).

OK, it's a very quiet day at work, so I found wiring manuals here. Important bit is the fifth option "Electrical Wiring Diagram Manual", it's 4.3meg or so.

    Check pages:
    - 277 (tells which plugs are used for the coils, it should be C11-C14)
    - 261 (connector pin layout for C11-14)
    - 282 shows how all connector pins are numbered too.
    - but 288 holds the goods.

Pin 1 is +B 12V (common to all coils)
Pin 2 is IGF (common to all coils)
Pin 3 is IGT (seperate signal for each coil)
    Pin 4 is GND

    Hope that gets you running.

I need a working 4AGE bottom end. Pref smallport GZE, but all others considered. Also complete motors.
Drift Volvo. Was fun. 2JZ next time.

just some more info. this is how it's setup on my car. I don't have an IGF signal, mine's called a ION which i'd say is the same thing. if so its an input signal to the ecu. With Pin 1 you don't have to set it to the EFI fuse, but as long as its wired to a +12V source when you click the key over to ON then you'll be right. Just make sure the gauge of wire is enough.

    Cheers

The plugs I have to suit these coils contradict the order specifed in the manual you put a link to Hen.

Looking at their manual the colour code of the wire is consistent with their pin allocation.

The colours of the plugs I have differ slightly, indicating that perhaps the IGT pin is pin 2 on my coils....The plugs could well be off something else, but it seems strange that toyota would change the position throughout models with similar setups.

I Might need to investigate further....

*See picture. position 2 shows different coloured wires in each plug -

perhaps 1nz and 1zz have a different pinout....

I'm not sure if I'm misunderstanding the manual, but I thought the pins would be numbered 1-4 from left to right when looking at the front (connection side) of the plug. So the varying pin colour is pin 3?

And looking back at the manual, the wire colouring is a bit weird.

If I knew the internal operation of an ignitor better you could probably work out the pinning anyway. It would depend on what type and sort of transistor was used internally and if it really is that simple. I suppose that sort of diagnosis depends on how keen you are on not blowing up any of the ignitors or coils.

The plugs are female, the coils are male. I was of the understanding if the plug is female you count from right to left....I wish toyospares were open....
