Fit a 3.58 gear set , there stronger than the 3.9
Dave
Hey all.
What Diffs are people with jz powered Mx-73 and Ma-61's using??
Mine is putting out around 240rwkw through a shift kitted auto and a MA-61 LSD and it keeps stripping the teeth off the pinion.
Any advice would be appreciated
Cheers

I'm using an F series with the 3.58:1 gearset mentioned above, and a TrueTrac centre. 5 years on it's given me no trouble whatsoever.

Oh ok. What cars does that gearset come out of??
I got the current diff (MA-61 LSD) Rebuilt 2months ago. i have been driving it nice so it will at least last 4 months but after 2 its whining like its goin to drop its guts again.
Its the shock from the auto changing gears.
Manual guys diffs will last longer cos you can baby the changes its up to you.

Nah its from a place in Wetherill Park.
Its a stage 2
back the lione pressure off or change the valve body if its shifting so harshly, shockloading isn't good for drivetrain components and if an F series only lasts 2 months id be really concerned.
cheers
