    Default installing seatbelts.

    Well as some of you may know im getting reemed by this compliance shop that are compliancing my GX81 (if u havent read, read my Members Ride thread)

    Apparently as far as i and everyone else can tell , they are doing it to RAWs compliance.

    This isnt the point though..

    At the moment im FUCKED for money and they have lied to me about the cost of compliance from day one . $2k has now gone to $2480 and they are
    YET TO PURCHASE BELTS AND INSTALL.

    So i want to purchase the belts myself and install them myself, has anyone done this before and know if Klippan belts are complete bolt out bolt in jobs ?

    Website: http://www.autolivaftermarket.com/ts-retail.htm

    As these are the belts i need :
    i called Repco and supercheap ~~$2 difference between the 2 in pricing..

    FRONT LEFT (passenger)
    K6299 = $107 + K4425 (buckle?) $19.50

    FRONT RIGHT (drivers)
    K6300 = $109 + K4425 (buckle?) $19.50

    REAR LEFT and REAR RIGHT $95 Each

    $20 postage from Vic to Perth for the lot.

    Lets say i purchase these belts is it a simple, Pull out / unbolt current inertia reel's and belts and replace with these Klippan items ?

    Coz i dont wanan pay some gimp $300 to do this for me...

    Cheers all

    Make sure they are ADR approved.

    Klippans will fit but not perfect. They are general purpose belts.

    Get some second hand Cressida belts (find out if they fit)...make sure the tags are on it with the ADR approval. However first ask if they will be happy with them.

    Its wrong to ask you to comply to the same standards as RAWS. Either way Y\you would still have had to do belts. Fronts are usually ok though.

    BTW check if you have the 3rd point to mount belts at the back. If not you will have to make a point. Copy a local cressida. Again check with the guys doing the compliance, they might not approve it.
