    Hi guys,

I just called Castle Hill Toyota and the 2 piece cam cover gaskets are now discontinued

We cant use 2TG i think cuz we have 8 spark plug holes.. And the top design of the 3tGTE means it has to be made for that design

Looks like it will have to be SWC They're the last ones left in the world who stock it (??)

i know for sure the 2tg outer cam cover gasket will work, but the inner plug valley piece got to be made, i got a connection with a gasket maker company i wont disclose now that can help us with that but i will need a outer cam cover gasket to get it copied, i didnt do it before just waiting on this news of (not anymore in production) so now is up to me to deal with this situation, also the Dizzy rotor and cap, in the same boat

I bought two caps when Toyota here in NZ had standard pricing on parts, unfortunately they never did rotor pricing the same or I would have bought their entire supply.

Ok, in relation to the Dizzy cap and Rotor... 2 years ago my rotor split up the shaft (impressive backfiring up the intake and out of the pod filter was the result). I spent weeks looking for a replacement rotor to no avail. I work for a Toyota dealer and we have an excellent parts interpreter who contacted Toyota Japan. They only had a listing for 1 Dizzy cap but no rotors. I bought the cap and continued to search for a rotor. After being stuffed around by several people, I managed to get a hold of one through AJPS. The owner new a guy in WA who, as the story goes, bought the last 4 dizzy/rotor combos Toyota Japan had. Now here's the kicker... He would not separate the rotor for me and charged me A LOT for the combo. Honestly, I probably wouldnt have paid what he was asking if I wasn't desperate, but as it was my daily driver, I did. The Dizzy Cap cost me $35 from Toyota but the combo was like 10x that (or maybe it was 15x? As I said, it was A LOT - tough thing to admit, almost embarrassing). Anyway, if all else fails, I'd say you could try contacting AJPS to try his contact, but be aware it'll cost you an arm and a leg. I reckon I still have an unused spare cap somewhere but no spare rotors.
    Good luck with the hunt!
Real love is a xA65 - if you haven't owned one, don't worry, i'll love them for you

Hey mate I will be listing a whole heap of parts including dizzies and rotors soon if you need one.

May be a stupid question but seeing I only have 1 HKS cam can I get the cam measured and get an exhaust one made up to suit? Maybe weld and regrind the lobes or something?

    cheers
