Hey guys I have asked this before but I am at the stage of doing some small jobs on my car and can do this if its really needed.

Do we really have to upgrade the fuel lines to something larger? I am aiming for 200kw at the rears and the rest of the fuel system will eventually consist of a VT inbuilt fuel pump in a custom alloy tank with baffles etc.

Is it necessary? Cause I will leave them stock if not and save the hassle.

    cheers

welcome from Peru, did you get the injectors sorted?

CT26 sounds the goods, i've got a CT20b sitting here but haven't put it on yet cuz i can't afford the intercooler lol
But there's so many speed camera's in QLD at the moment i haven't hit boost in a while, plus fuel is over 150 at the moment i'm taking it very easy.

I will tell you this and then you can decide. Evo's here in the states run 500+ wheel horsepower with two parallel intank Walbro 255 hp and stock 8mm lines on E85.

Do these evos have a return line. A lot of newer cars don't these days since they worked out the vapour lock issue. The old 3tgte system still needs to be able to flow enough for the engine and return system. Food for thought.

    Hi there,
The return line only comes into play up until the engine is using all available fuel the pump/lines can supply - at which point one is rapidly approaching the danger point of course! Similar peak fuel flow will be available for each system but the modern method modulates the pump operation while old school spins the pump full speed all the time.

After not having any luck finding a head gasket I am thinking of going down the copper route. Have you guys used one at all? Will they seal up ok when using head studs or should I expect some weeping?Anyone done a cad drawing of one yet?

    cheers

Im want to replace the fuel pressure regulator on the 3tgte with an aftermarket one. Does anyone know what fitting the regulator uses? Is it a metric thread 12x1.25 or is it an AN4 fitting? Help would be very much appreciated. Im going nuts searching for this info

Hi all, wanting to know what dwell time and what spark plug and gap people are using out there on there 3t-gte's?? I have a haltech e6x and ls1 coils and unless my dwell time is set to 2-3ms, my Car misfires and runs Like turd.. Haltech recommend setting the dwell to 5ms for that coil.. I'm just a little worried that when I increase boost I will have issues with a low dwell time because of weak spark! My plugs are NGK BPR7ES at .8 gap... Your help is appreciated

I used some M&W Coils with 5mS of dwell time; I found a bit more HP with 3.5mS dwell time (tuner attributed this to the coils being a bit hotter running at longer dwell time).
    YelloRolla's KE20 1/4mi = 11.32 @ 119mph @ 22psi on slicks
    12.44 @ 113 mph on 165 wide street tyres
210rwkw - not bad for a smelly 3TGTE running pump fuel.

Cheers YelloRolla.. So would you think that a 3ms dwell will produce enough spark for about 18PSI of boost? Or is that a question with a really big assumption??

    Cheers,

    Rob

too many variables - the most important is that I am not a tuner.
