Haha, ignition is only going to be one element of the tune!
The fuel map will need to be setup properly and since I read in another post your LM1 took a leave of absence I think that puts you behind the 8-ball immediatly.
Don't give up on the low compression too quickly it sounds like you are simply needing to spend a little more time and the results will follow.

Just a couple of things to check. Is the polarity of the magnetic sensor input for either/or sync and cam sensor out (don't know if you have sequential injection or not...). I find the engine will start and run with wires wrong but runs like a dog and if checked with timing light you find the timing advancing or retarding with rpm all by itself with the timing supposedly locked static. The ECU also needs to be informed of the correct sensor polarity i.e. rising or falling (positive or negative). Also the trigger signal to the ignitor - assuming external ignitor - ineeds to be set to the correct dwell and firing edge.

I drove 7.0:1 compression happily to Dubbo and home again for a 2400KM round trip and it is my daily commute to work and back in the traffic! When you are pushing in excess of 20psi boost on pump fuel you will not regret low compression.

    Cheers,
    Jason

The cyl sync is fine, steady as at 54% which is more than acceptable for my ecu. I think the injectors not having a profile on my ecu will have a mass thing to do with it, I've set them to generic medium for opening times of .08ms or should i set to slow of .12ms ? Yea no doubt 7:1 is fine once on boost but driving it daily would mean driving above 3k all the time yea? that doesn't sound ideal. The motor revs happily out to 7g but its just once on load it doesn't act the same just sluggish and gutless. Highly considering leaving it till I can afford to put in higher comp pistons. O2 sensors arnt that important if u get a tune on a dyno im guessing they have all the right probes n shit there.

No issue here with low rpm driving around. With the nice small GT2560 and .64AR turbing housing I used 40 degrees initial timing and all was well cos it used to be on boost by 1800rpm at partial throttle. Once the S200sx with 1.00AR turbine went on it was a little doughey and I fed it another 5 degrees timing off boost and driveability has come back up again nicely - along with some minor tweaking of the fuel curve of course. I can slide the clutch from idle and outpace most of the traffic off boost on part throttle while making the decision as to whether to nail it wide open and risk a conversation with Mr Plod...

Hey the 3tgte exhaust manifold will take the same design as the 2t or 3t - I just cant tell if the material will be the same.

I simply use silicon like grey max or such as long as the sealing surfaces are relatively flat. Not too much of course as you dont want it bulging out into the inside of the manifold and turning into turbo destroying missiles...

stewart wilkins motorsport got em for $19:

    SW Motorsport

It's for 2TG but should fit. Stewart Wilkins are good for various 3T/2T parts, i've bought quite a bit from them and have always been reliable.
