mine is an adm ct20b so its steel also.

well my hg is on the way out so im looking for one of those as im searching for a exhaust flange and manifold.

20 psi..hhmmm down the track maybe.

what are people doing for headstuds? Keeping in mind this is my daily (and therefore wont be going mental, just zaust, fmic and the turbo)....i have the 205 for the serious business.

I think that I have covered the head studs elsewhere in this thread. I have had about 50 sets made in the past, but there is an alternative from ARP - these are to to suit a Mistubishi (these are 20mm too short necessitating that the posts for the head bolts are milled down accordingly). Part number 207-4202.
    YelloRolla's KE20 1/4mi = 11.32 @ 119mph @ 22psi on slicks
    12.44 @ 113 mph on 165 wide street tyres
210rwkw - not bad for a smelly 3TGTE running pump fuel.

I will look around for the ARP box that has the part number for the ones I used. But they are for a Starion turbo hear in the states G54b. ARP web site says PN:207-4202
Again will have to double check the ones I used but I am 98% sure that is the part number.
    20mm will due I used .750
I think I even have a picture of them installed if anyone wants me to send that pic so it could be put up one the board.

Note that the posts have been milled down, this is no hassle for someone competent.

These head studs, with the appropriate milling of the towers, should be adequate for a turbo'd 2tg head is that correct? It would go along way toward helping me find some head studs for my project. Thanks, Be Safe

Yes - this is about as good as it gets for head clamping, however the next thing is head gasket choice.

if its not stock i would go for a metal head gasket...

thickness and bore is dependant on your setup...

    cheers

it depends - HG failure is most commonly caused by poor tuning/detonation. MLS as suggested by fade-e is going to stand up to a lot, so too will a copper gasket with o rings, next down the list is std gasket + o rings and lastly just a std head gasket.

A stock head gasket will hold a fair whack of boost (unknown qty but certainly better than 20psi), but will fail inside a second of detonation at big boost levels.

Anyone know if the 3tgte thermostat + gasket is the same as a 2tg/t?
