    Hey Everyone

I have an ae82 with an ae101 gze, the other week when i was flogging it i missed 3rd and then crunch, could not select any gear while the engien was running, you could select gear with engien off then start it with clutch pedal full down but the car would be creepign forward as iff it wasnt ingaing proply and have a metal on metal noise, anyway put new clutch, pressure plate in with trust bearing and slave and master, can select gear now, when pedal is 85-90 perfect pressed, as soon as you fully press it it doesnt selct proply and this metal on metal noise comes on

Have you checked the clutch fork because it might be bending. I had the same problem a few weeks ago, except i installed a new master cylinder which did nothing, then played around with the slave and the clutch fork just snapped off.

    Check that out
I have been pruned by old man river!!!!!

Maybe you are getting to much travel on the clutch fork? Check the adjustment at you pedal. Try backing it off a little.

If the clutch fork was bending, there wouldn't be enough travel for disengagement.
If the MC was changed to a larger diameter, or the slave smaller, there might be too much travel, but I doubt that Poggy's done that.

id hazard a guess at the wrong release bearing, some have a ring around the outside that can clash with the diaphram if pushed too far,

was the pivot height set correctly?

    cheers

Linden - i suggested the same thing on the twincam forums.... although i dont know if Poogy has changed the release bearing since i sold the car to him, and it worked beautifully when i had the car.

Is it possible that the release bearing could have come unseated on the fork?
    ...... butt scratcher?!

I think you are going to need to pull off the gearbox to know for sure.
