I know on my car if the intercooler water level is not plugged in it reduces power/boost but there is a way or tricking it when you go front mount
Need some help please
Engine 1997 Caldina 3SGTE (Auto) Conversion motor in a kit car
The computer looks like it has 2 halfs, (Engine / Gearbox) I think we have sorted out the engine side of things
Wired the whole engine loom in all sensors that relate to the motor are inplace ,..
Sensor's that are not wired are things like ABS, Intercooler water, and also at the moment the Speed input sensor.
None of the Auto gearbox wires are wired.![]()
Cranked motor over last night and it fired up straight away ran for like 3-4sec then dies,.. seems to run smooth for this short time. I presume it is obviously looking for some type of input / feedback. Any ideas?
I have not yet checked the error codes due to it being late and we called it a night, hope to get back to it later in the week.
Also what sensor can i get away with leaving disconnected and what are compulsory needing to be wired so no performance is inhibited. Are any of the gearbox wires needing an input?
Thanks
Jamie

Now driving 20V Turbo 1.8 N-S FWD
Does the fuel pump stop before the engine? I't might be priming on crank then stopping when you let go of the key. Circuit opening relay wired correctly if it has it that is?

Jono thanks mate that's teh sort of stuff i need to know ,.. i look into this some more and it just seem a simple case of jumpering the pins.
Thanks for the links, much appreciated seems that fivebob has done some heavy research into them. Notice that he has translated a russian diagram ( i think) and still has a fair bit missing, Will have to get on Toyspeed and have a good look roundhttp://www.users.on.net/~fivebob/Ima.../ST215W-1c.jpg

Got the running part sorted now, yep seems I had one wire slightly worngDoes the fuel pump stop before the engine? I't might be priming on crank then stopping when you let go of the key. Circuit opening relay wired correctly if it has it that is?, it seems incredibaly doughy on the throttle after initial start up. Will start checking codes this weekend.
I have so many more questions .![]()
As far as i can work out, is that the gearbox side of the computer is completley stand alone from the engine side , so in no way should it limit the engine performance if i leave this side of things with no inputs? can anybody confrim this or shed some more positive light.
What about if the abs sensors are missing,
incorrect speed input sensor as it is now running a manual box.
will things like this limit performance, um anybody Help![]()
I should add wiring is definatley not my strong point.![]()
Thanks
Jamie

We also did a 3s-gte caldina swap into an ST205 and now we cannot get the speedometer working, as the caldina operates the speedometer from the ABS computer? Did you use the caldina gearbox, if so do you have a caldina ABS wiring? Anyone has that available?
