someone? anyone?
Just wanted to check something, when I start my car oil pressure sits at 80psi at idle move off idle and the oil pressure rises to 100, once the car warms up abit it drops back to 40-50 and comes up to 60-70 under load.
Anything that I need to look at or is this a common 1JZ thing, i currently run a remote oil filter with guage sender in the side of this
someone? anyone?
seems abit high while cold but it may be due to oil viscosity. what oil do you run and what weights?
once hot seems fine.

I know that with my 7m, when I start my car the presure goes to 50 at idle then drops down to about 20 when it gets warm then 50 when under load.
pretty well stock, at 550rpm idle on mien its still at 25 psi, over 100 on cold idle, no idea what cause mine only goes to 100![]()
JZX83+ FMIC+ Twin 2.5" dumps to 3"+ FCD+ 2800rpm stallie+ 14psi - LSD - good tyres = 12.85 @105.58

So yours does the same? that puts my mind at easeOriginally Posted by Mr DOHC
My 1JZ-GTE when I start my car oil pressure sits at 90 - 100psi at idle move off idle and the oil pressure rises to over 100, once the car warms up a bit it drops back to 60 - 80 and comes up to 90 - over 100 under load. My gauge is currently a s#!tty Matrix so I think the readings are wrong. I'll be buying some better quality gauges as soon as I can but not before Christmas.

Yeah I see over 100psi on cold idle with my 2JZ.

Well it's good to hear that it appears to be normal. I guess I'll buy a gauge with a bigger range when I replace the crappy one I have now.
