You bloody well deserved it, the GT8 has gone from awesome to OMGWTF super-awesome.

Thanks to Grant et al for organising another great event, I had a blast as always and I'm already looking forward to the next one. I promise there will be many more skids next year.

Here are some of my stills from the weekend, sorry I don't have any of the khana, I was too pumped up and probably wouldn't be able to hold the camera steady anyway...... :-P

big thanks to Grant, Dave and Danae for all their efforts to organise and officiate such an event
plus a special mention to I.B. (ONGUTS) who solely raised over $400 for the event with his unofficial 2007 DVD sales and T-shirt auction donation.

congrats to all the trophy winners they were well deserved.

p.s. Danae have you slept yet? or are you still coming down from the excitement of your 3 trophies

Big thanks to the organisers for a great weekend. A special thanks to my wife for letting me "borrow" the RAV4.....

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kCDYy-P6zUk

Had a ball on the motorkana.... first time the RAV4 has been driven in anger. Hopefully next year we can do it again. And hoping we can offically time the event as a CAMS event.

As a small side note, I hope next year we can explain the motorkana in a little more detail. It wasn't until after the event (and awards), we found out that fastest male was actually a handicapped result, and the poor little RAV was penalised against the turbo rwds.

Some offically timing will also be nice next year.

Oh well, thems the breaks. Too busy/lazy to help run the event, so no complaints here. Again, thanks everyone for a great weekend.....

We or I made the Dubbo News paper over easter.
They had a half page article you could say on the Toyota Nationals.
It was in the "Daily Liberal Monday March 24 2008" page 12.

I'd like to take this opportunity to thank the Toyota Nationals organisers for offering us the chance to hold the event. While there were many sleepless nights and stressful days leading up to the weekend, it was a fun (albiet busy and tiring) weekend.

I'd also like to thank all the entrants for being so well behaved for the most part, and being understanding of the issues that we had in organising the event. I'm glad that everyone had such a great time, and it was great to see improvements being made in peoples style from the start of the day to the end. I hope that we are invited back next year to host the khana again, with any luck at an improved location (perhaps a suggestion for entrants next year to bring a 'spare' set of tyres to make it even less of a worry )..
