An entertaining display. Not sure if the times were very good though.

So was it a burn out comp or a kahana?

Lets just say that there were 2 runs per course and only half the runs were smoke shows

I did see footage of at least one other run of yours where there was no smoke. That GT8 of yours is really nuts, you don't drive it on the road do you?

It was a daily driver but I knew the licence was on borrowed time so the last 12 months or so it hasn't seen much street use. The new clutch has made it virtually unstreetable so easy decision not to drive it until this one wears out and i go with an apparently perfectly streetable quad plate

I think I would slip back into old habits very easily if I had your car.

Does anyone know the update on the Level 2 CAMS licence? I think I read somewhere that the forms were to be sent to our home address and we just had to pay an additional $15 for the level 2.

Please correct me if I'm wrong.

    Cheers

The licences were passed on to the nationals organisers. The upgrade from level 1 to level 2 was valid for a limited period after the license was done (I think it was 30 days).

Having said that, I'd suggest speaking with the Nationals to get your slip then call CAMs (be prepared for a wait on the phone) and just let them know that you just got your L1 slip, I really don't think they'd have any problems with you wanting to pay them money. ;-)

If you get no joy feel free to let us know and we'll try help you out.

Incidentally, I thought it was 30 days too, however after doing some quick online research, I can't find any time period except for the one mentioned by the Holden Sporting Car Club (Qld), which says you have 6 months to upgrade.

You wouldn't believe it but I received the slip in the mail last night and it does state, 'The fee paid for this licence may be deducted from the cost of any other CAMS competition licence if purchased within 6 months of this participation. This licence must accompany that application'.

I'm going to have a search on the CAMS website for more information on to how to upgrade it.

    Thanks for the info.

I hope I wrote my address legibly as a discount would be handy on the CAMS licence.
