Cutting a flange off any manifold is easy, but welding with Cast iron can be difficult, so welding a new flange on may prove problematic.

I do know Cast Iron manifold advantage is on its strength. But i would like to know this. Is it very tough or difficult to unweld flange from cast iron manifold?

Cast Iron? you mean steal? iron rusts like crazy, wouldnt last a day.
Steal heads weld up perfectly, always better than alloy.

The problem with cast stuff is the metal is full of impurity making the fusion of another plate or whatever else more difficult than if you were working with a good pure material. It is possible as mentioned above though.
Have you thought about just having an adapter plate made up that bolts to the cast manifold and the new turbo or whatever it is that you plan on attaching.

I just dont think you have a clue as to the material properties of Cast Iron, as there is actually more carbon in it than steel, by about 10 times the percentage, which makes it more corrosion resistant, hence why it is not often painted!!

there is such a beast as cast steel, but you won;t find it on a car engine very often.
cast iron is used because it is cheap and reliable, and thats about it.

call into your local autoparts store, ask them to order you a head flange from lukey/walker to suit your engine. they sell head flanges to suit most popular engines seperate to the extractors they make.
it can be done, but you are better off starting with a steel flange, and getting it laser or water cut or whatever it is they do these days
to weld cast iron there are a few methods.. the main issue is that it has like 4-5% carbon, and when you mix with low carbon steel (0.2 or 0.3%?) you go thru a nasty area where you get lots of brittle phases..
i have heard of people heating for a while with an oxy torch to burn out the carbon.. or, welding using high chromium and nickel (ie, stainless steel rods) to trap the carbon....
but if you are making the rest of the manifold anyway, it is probably much better in the long run to start with a fresh flange...
chances are you can buy one off the shelf somewhere anyway.
