Wolf3d V4 plugin on 3S-GTE - can we source a tach output?

We have an MR2 here with a Wolf3d plugin ecu fitted. The owner is fitting individual coil packs, so we are looking for ignition outputs 2-4 and also a tach output as we will no longer be using a factory igniter to trigger the tacho.

Now, does the plugin ecu have the relevant pins wired through to unconnected pins in the 3sgte loom? We have the 'pre 92' ecu fitted. I can find a pinout for both it and the post 92 however, the pre 92 states nothing to the tune of the other 3 ignition outputs, or a tach output. The post 92 shows allocation for the other 3 ignition outputs, but once again, a tacho output is still nowhere to be seen.

We know that on the universal unit the tacho output is pin 17 and have opened up the unit to see if we could trace where this runs, however, as with most printed circuit boards, its hard to keep a track of exactly what goes where.

Having a think about it I might go grab a fluke and see if I can find pin 17 labeled on the board on any of the pins on the plugin connector.

Any help or guidance would be appreciated though.

Well, gone over it with a multimeter. Tacho and ignition outputs 2-4 are not connected front main board to the mr2 plugin board that sits above it. I might just bridge it through to unused pins on the connector with some wire inside the unit.

Anyone with any other ideas, give me a yell.

4 seperate coils, the mr2 is used to seeing a source from an igniter firing 4 coils itself.

Problem solved though. (Maybe )

yes but won't that overload that one pin?

They go to 4 different pins, all unused on the mr2 loom. I've pulled some of the pins from an old gt4 loom connector and put them in, ready to splice the wires for the other ignition outputs onto. Should be good. Got to wait for my mate to get a data cable over here for his wolf so I can confirm its going to work. If wolf put some sort of plugin specific firmware on here that disables the other ignition ouputs then there is another hurdle to cross.
