2TGE and 4AGE ECU

ok i recently got my self an 2TGEU from a TE71
so iv been scouring the net for info

(btw this should be FAQed http://www.toymods.net/forums/showth...&highlight=2tg)

anyway, in my searchs i came across mention of running them on the 4age ecu
has anyone here done that?
i want to know how effective it was, ie worth it?
how much of a difference did it make?

any info on doing it would be appriciated

well,
id assume if you used the same injectors, CAS/dizzy, air metering and ignition method then yeah sure no worries

how well will it go? like a 4a perhaps maybe a bit better or worse depending on compression

it certainly wouldnt be hard 4age's esp 16v are falling off trees and outta smashed p plater dori cars

id be inclined to throw quads on and go aftermarket ecu, that way everyone wins

I think you should use an aftermarket ecu ie. microtech or wolf 3d speak to them direct, it might be a little bit more in cost wise, but in the long run there is less time spent on trying to half arse around, and the more you do that the more money you spend.. but if you like fiddling around go ahead... im in the same boat as you right now and have decided to spend the little extra, just so i can tune the car for how i want it to run..
Fuel only ecu from microtech is aprox $750 with loom and sensors, and individual coil pack for sequential injection is $1050 aprox with loom and sensors you tell them what you want and give them all the info and they do the basic maping. With the sequential system you will how ever need to source a Different dizzy from Something like a 4agze which will give you the crank angle, i think you will have to graft parts from that into your current one..(not shore) or you can fit a sensore through the bellhousing taking the pulse of the fly wheel..
I have a 3t/2tg blow through carby set up, changing it to efi for more power
The 32/36 weber carby just aint giving the sucker the fuel she wants

cheers guys.... was sort of after more specific info from someone who has done it.... am aware of all that
and yes am aware aftermarket is better... but thats not the point
i have the stock ecu, and i have a 4age one. IF there is a proven gain from running the 4age i was interested in doing it. but im not spending thousands more on an aftermarket ecu, dont need that foo my application. and if i was id go link!
