s53/54 LSD centre

Hey guys/gals - i just bough a 2nd hand gearbox from an st202 celica with LSd. Problem is it isnt locking up as hard as it used to. Id like to get it recoed but they are not a servicable item and no kits are available.That's cool - i dont mind getting a new one.

So question is, is the sw20 Mr2 LSD centre the same as the celica one? If so i can have a brand spanker in my hands courtesy of Toyota Japan in 3 weeks for approx 500 bucks.

Mr2 LSD part number according to toyota parts bloke is - 41301 320 61

Could someone please confirm this number and if possible check it against one for an st202 or could even tell me if they are they same?

... dunno if that's the actual LSD or just the casing?

Yeah - thanks mate. They are both an s53 so the case, gearing, shaftes etc should all be the same. Links will be different as one is FWD, MR etc. but im just curios about the diff centre itself....Im thinking yes but who knows. crazy japs and all.....

else have you thought about going to an aftermarket one like kaaz?

Yeah - have thought about that vut kaaz are $2000 plus fitting. not really wanting to spend that much at all. The stock should do me anyway. Thanks Huy
