    Default ladder bar into KE70?

to reduce the amount of the chassis works, i plan to fabricate a ladder bar setup to fit my 8" hilux diff into rear of my newly purchase KE70. i wonder if i can use the existing lower link mount on the chassis and make it as the front mount of the ladder bar?

I'd be pretty surprised if the front lower arm mount point is at the right height to get good drive out of a ladder bar setup. Although I guess if you lift the back of the car enough it might work.

will the original mounting too weak for the task? or some sort of reinforcement is needed?

I completely ignored whether it would need re-inforcing or not. I mean if you are planning on doing chassis work and putting in a ladder bar then I would assume you're planning on putting some decent power through the thing.

Seriously if you can't answer these questions from checking out the parts then I think you should pay someone to do the chassis work.

it would probly require some reinforcement to hold up to alot of abuse, but depends on how much power you want to put thru it.

whats wrong with the factory 4link or a slightly modded version of it?

    cheers

there is nothing wrong with the factory 4 link. i just want my rear suspension has equal lenght of links among all 4. the best way is to make a 1/4 chassis out of it but i don plan to cut the entire rear floor pan for the upgrade. possibly making 400HP from my 3TC turbo. just wanna have some good traction out of it.. btw, the car is for weekend cruise, or may be some drag runs but definately all the interior will be in tact..

400hp, the factory setup will be fine. a ladder bar will be shit on the road for cruising and trying to get the right angles out of it will be a shiteload more work than just setting the stock stuff up on the hilux diff.

try dropping the lower arms where they attach to the diff, it should give you a vast improvement in anti-squat therefore improving traction/drive both in a straight line and off a turn.
