wording under avatar

how does one change the wording under their avatar?

mine says domestic engineer for some reason. how can it be changed?

REad the Faq and it will tell you how that got there and what it means

Below your username is your Rank.
A user's rank is determined their number of posts. A new rank is attained once the user makes the minimum number of posts for that rank as outlined by the table below:
1st year Apprentice: 5 posts
Grease Monkey: 51 posts
Backyard Mechanic: 201 posts
Domestic Engineer: 501 posts
Automotive Encyclopaedia: 801 posts
Carport Converter 1,301 posts
Conversion King: 2,001 posts
Cheif Engine Builder: 3,001 posts
Too Much Toyota: 5,001 posts

You can however change the bit that says 'Junior Member'

Change it under 'edit profile' in User CP. It's the first option in the second section

Could be because he only has 3 posts up in the tech or general car areas of the forums and hasnt even become a '1st year apprentice' yet (need 5 for that as Kirsty pointed out).

He hasn't made enough countable posts to even get to the first section

Yep.
if you have made 3,001 countable posts (it only counts in the tech and general car talk) then your a chief Engine builder. it doesn't matter what rep your on where these names are concerned.
