    Default MX73 front end Conversion questions

    A, Will MA61 Manual stuff all fit and will i need nething else .

    B, Will MX83 Brake rotors bolts straight on ? i want 5 stud

    A) Yes and no.
    Box, bellhousing, flywheel, clutch, master/slave cyls + lines will all fit.
    Shifter position is wrong, clutch pedal/bracket is wrong (although many have used it before), tailshaft is wrong (too short).

    B) In a nutshell, no not really.
    Do a search for 5 stud conversion, its the same as MA61. Very well covered subject.

    MX83 brakes aren't much of an upgrade anyway. It is possible to adapt MX83 struts to fit and that will give you 5-stud, then it's easy to upgrade to the BA/R33 brake combo. But as mentioned this topic is well covered and there are plenty of options for brakes and 5-stud conversions.

    its not for the brake upgrade.. its the fact the last owner used wrong mag nuts and destroyed a few studs and i have mx83 rotors and r32 wheels sitting around so if they culd fit easy it would have been super

    Studs are $5 each, a lot easier to just replace them.

    how hard is it to fit MX83 struts in... it all looks same except for the swaybar is in diff locartion, has anyone done this swap ? do i just use the mx83 swaybar

    just do it then, its not that much effort to put the strut in and see how close it is, its a few bolts!

    never hurts to research it lol... i have to complete cressidas one i drive and ones the shell, but before i go pulling everything apart... i want to see if anyone can tell me if theres anything else i need to buy or be aware of

    actually, the MX83 struts are a bit of work and until you then replace the brakes they're not much of an improvement - read up on Norbie's use of them in his MA61 as suggested above.

    ng on the bright side i just bought superlites so ill just get new shocks and rotors

    camber change is also a concern.

    youll be looking at + camber for memory

    Yep, I got my struts bent 3 degrees to bring them back in line.
