    Default Rebuilding blower motor

My blower motor (one that pushes air through heater ducts) was not working. Pulled it off, cleaned, oiled and reassembled. Will now spin and keep going if you give it a twist of shaft with fingers.

Its fairly hard to spin with fingers. Anyone got suggestions on what to do? Its not essential to have it going, passed rw without but I thought if I could get aircon going for a hundred bucks it would be worth it. So I am not wanting to buy new.

I am talking about rebuilding, I obviously know you can buy them secondhand etc so don't bother saying

most likely will need nes bushes, or cummutator.

good luck finding bushes, new motor is the best option, there shoudl be one that will fit in the motor housing, or you can just dodgy one from another car in. as long as the blower spins the same way it will work fine.

i have worked with these a fair bit in my job, so trust me when i say getting a second hand one will be easiest. at the least you could use the bits out of a second hand one to make it go again, read up on brushed DC motors in the meantime
